چکیده

The minimum relative entropy (MRE) method can be used to solve linear inverse problems of the form Gm = d, where m is a vector of unknown model parameters and d is a vector of measured data. The MRE method treats the elements of m as random variables, and obtains a multivariate probability density function for m. The probability density function is constrained by prior information about the upper and lower bounds of m, a prior expected value of m, and the measured data. The solution of the 1 inverse problem is the expected value of m, based on the derived probability density function. We present a MATLAB implementation of the MRE method. Several numerical issues arise in the implementation of the MRE method and are discussed here. We present the source history reconstruction problem from groundwater hydrology as an example of the MRE implementation.

Implementation of Sinc-Galerkin on Parabolic Inverse problem with unknown boundary ‎condition‎

The determination of an unknown boundary condition, in a nonlinaer inverse diffusion problem is considered. For solving these ill-posed inverse problems, Galerkin method based on Sinc basis functions for space and time will be used. To solve the system of linear equation, a noise is imposed and Tikhonove regularization is applied. By using a sensor located at a point in the domain of $x$, say $...

Inverse and Reverse 2-facility Location Problems with Equality Measures on a Network

In this paper we consider the inverse and reverse network facility location problems with considering the equity on servers. The inverse facility location with equality measure deals with modifying the weights of vertices with minimum cost, such that the difference between the maximum and minimum weights of clients allocated to the given facilities is minimized. On the other hand, the reverse c...

Application of different inverse methods for combination of vS and vGPR data to estimate porosity and water saturation

Inverse problem is one of the most important problems in geophysics as model parameters can be estimated from the measured data directly using inverse techniques. In this paper, applying different inverse methods on integration of S-wave and GPR velocities are investigated for estimation of porosity and water saturation. A combination of linear and nonlinear inverse problems are solved. Linear ...

Ill-Posed and Linear Inverse Problems

In this paper ill-posed linear inverse problems that arises in many applications is considered. The instability of special kind of these problems and it's relation to the kernel, is described. For finding a stable solution to these problems we need some kind of regularization that is presented. The results have been applied for a singular equation.

E-Bayesian Approach in A Shrinkage Estimation of Parameter of Inverse Rayleigh Distribution under General Entropy Loss Function

‎Whenever approximate and initial information about the unknown parameter of a distribution is available, the shrinkage estimation method can be used to estimate it. In this paper, first the $ E $-Bayesian estimation of the parameter of inverse Rayleigh distribution under the general entropy loss function is obtained. Then, the shrinkage estimate of the inverse Rayleigh distribution parameter i...
